Complaint for theft against tenant staying without any ID.

Hello, There was a guy staying in ower PG and stole our Belongings (Including 1 gold ring) and he was working at a unisex salon. After the incident we went to his work place thr we got know that salon owner did not take any ID prof from the person, same goes with our PG. Police not helping what should we do now

As per law police officers duty bound to register FIR when complaint filed on congnizable offence, if he has not filed FIR, you can approach his higher official or you can file private complaint before concern magistrate.

The police has to receive complaint against that person since his name would be known in pg or in saloon so lodge complaint of theft against him along with owner of saloon if he does not give or else meet advocate and file private complaint against him
