10-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
In an murder case there are only two witnesses those are wife and daughter of murdered person. Is this two witnesses are sufficient for punishment. If he punished how many years jail life or hang.
Hi
Even 1 witnesses is sufficient to prove a murder.
In murder the motive to kill should be proved first and foremost.
if there is a motive to kill but only 1 accused out of revenge/enmity etc, then it will be life imprisonment.
If there are more than 1 accused and all of them conspired to kill the person, depending the conspiracy and motive, death sentence might be awarded.
Hope this information is useful.
