Clarification regarding complain on which case can be registered

With a complain can police register case under ipc section

Yes police can register a case. But why it is bought to the notice of the concerned magistrate, he shall call for a report of the case under section 210 CrPC. Which ever case has proceeded shall continue.

You may lodge a written FIR in your jurisdictional police station. The police will generally register the FIR and investigate the same. But if police finds that there is no force in the allegations levelled in the FIR, they may not file charge sheet against the accused. So you need to be careful enough while lodging an FIR. Furthermore, FIR has to be lodged as early as possible from the time of occurrence. If there is any delay in lodging the FIR please explain in details the reasons for such delay in the body of the FIR :)
