I was caught with very small quantity of marijuana in LTT railway station while traveling to home. Police took all my information like name, adhar card, current address, photo with marijuana. Was scaring me that your life will be finished. I escaped that situation by bribing Rs.15000. But I am worried about will they take any legal action against me?

Possession of marijuana, even in small quantities, is punishable under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act). If no FIR was registered or no formal charges were filed, legal proceedings may not be initiated. However, bribery is an offence under the Prevention of Corruption Act of 1988. You may check with the local police station for any pending cases.
