Caugh drunk driving , was let off on bail how to proceed now with this

I was caught for Drunk Driving at Chegammaanad, ERNAKULAM and was taken to the station I submitted a copy of my RC,LICENCE and insurance papers and was let off on bail. The police officers said I will receive a Summons in 6 months and should remit a fine personally or through others at the court. Is this all for.a first time dui offence or should I consult a lawyer
It is a petty offence, so you can appear through an advocate,or personally before the Court to remit the fine amount.
in case, if entrust the case to advocate,he will manage the case, but you have to pay his fees.

As said to you by the police u will get summons from the court to appear..you can personally appear there and remit fine or u can engage a lawyer to appear on behalf of you and pay the fine..no need of any consultation

Engage a lawyer once you get the summons and appear before the court and concerned date and pay the fine and there your case will come to an end. Summons will have the date of appearance and court name also
