Case wrongly registered on my friend and he is in jail.

My friend was planning to buy a car from dealer & got it for 1 day trial on 25th Dec. Car was GPS enabled, police traced it & caught my friend on 26th Dec. We came to know that car belonged to a rapist. Police went to criminal's house who is absconding & his family was threatened to ask the person to surrender at max by 31st Dec but he criminal didn't turned up. Criminal's wife was kept under observation on 31st Dec if he her however he did not call her. My friend will get bail on 4th Jan & legal case will start on the criminal. What should be our action to protect an innocent person?

if car belonged to a rapist then car is a case property.firstly move anticipatory bail concerned jurisdiction and also provide FIR Copy after that i will give legal advise.

Please assimilate all the evidence of your not being the real culprit. Please tie up with the IO through a lawyer so that the investigation can be done properly.

If there is written agreement between the dealer and ut friend about that car was on trial or any witness or any cctv footage which can prove that ur frnd was dont have any relation with that car then no need to worry ur lawyer will give all the evidence to the hnble court.
