Case of property where a person claims he was impersonated

10-Oct-2025 (In Criminal Law)
We bought a piece of land, built a house on it , lived for 8 years and sold the house. We paid the full amount to the seller of the property. At the time of registration, he brought four others telling they too were the sellers. We accepted the fact.A case was filed by a person who claimed that he was impersonated during the registration and that he should be compensated. He filled a criminal case on us, the buyer of the property, and 2 of the sellers. The case is in court for 8 years.

hi first need to see the facts of the case and its contents and then if the contents are vague and baseless then you could file quash petition in high court to quash the case against you as it is based on all false allegations

nature of the person's claim and the failure of them to obtain an injunction against occupying the property is mostly in your favor. how you acquired the property if the sellers of the property are original owners the relation of the litigant person and the persons who sold the property to you
