Do not transfer any property. Save proof of repayment and all threat messages. Consult a criminal lawyer immediately. If threats continue, file a police complaint for criminal intimidation and extortion to protect you and your family.

From the facts stated by you, it appears that there was an informal investment arrangement. However, threatening you or your family to transfer property in their name is illegal and amounts to criminal intimidation and coercion under criminal law. Even if there was a financial dispute, no person can forcibly demand transfer of property. Such matters must be resolved through proper legal proceedings only. Since you have already returned the principal amount along with additional payment, their continued threats are unlawful. You should immediately consult an advocate and send a legal notice to them clearly recording that the amount has been repaid and warning them to stop threatening or harassing you and your family. If the threats continue, you can also initiate police action for criminal intimidation and extortion against them. Taking timely legal steps through an advocate is important to protect yourself and to create proper legal record of the situation.

You need to address this situation immediately on two fronts to protect your family and handle your legal exposure: File a Police Complaint: File an immediate complaint against the investors for criminal intimidation (Section 506 IPC / Section 351 BNS) and extortion (Section 384 IPC / Section 308 BNS) regarding the forced property transfer threats. Secure Payment Proofs: Compile all bank statements, receipts, and communication showing you have successfully returned the full principal amount along with the 8% extra. This proves you had no fraudulent intention
