My wife beaten a woman with sandal, party filed case 324/114 IPC. Incorrect case filed. What might be the legal consequences? How to handle it? How long the case will run?

sec 324/114 IPC since both sections are bailable hpe so accused must have got the bail within 60 days chargesheet must be filed and after that trail will take over but the weapon used not more dangerous here

recording of wrong provision in FIR based on a complaint which otherwise shows cognisable offence is of no consequence as far as quashing of such FIR is concerned. if it's otherwise then it might be quashed. hence the case papers must be perused before giving a more appropriate advice. legal consequences will depend on what has been stated above. your lawyer will handle the case depending on his study of the brief. the fate of the case will be subject to the fact whether it has ingredients to get quashed or discharged or acquitted. kindly contact your lawyer without any undue delay.
