Can my ex girlfriend file a case against me if she had two abortions?

My ex-girlfriend wants to marry me as she had abortion (2 times) when we were in a relationship. I never promised her for marriage and clearly told her that this relationship is temporary. Now she changed her mind and forcing me to marry her as she has the proof of abortion(Hospital bills, prescription and some test reports). Can she file any police complain against me? what should I do now to defend myself?

Forcing a marriage through executive or judiciary is a tough task for her as there is no established statutes to do that in India. But latest supreme court judgements have held that any relationship between a man and a woman which has such a union to be deemed as marriage, is a marriage and such a man n woman will have to fulfill mutual obligations of one another.

Your defence would be that you had not promised to marry her, But if she has proof of those two abortions then it is upto you to show some proof for what you say. You cannot prevent her from filing complaint with police.
