Can I get my husband arrested as he a drug addict

My husband is an addict. He is losing his mind and I want him arrested. I only want him in jail long enough to detox from meth. He wants to stop but hasn't been able, in the past, to go through the withdrawals. Currently he claims he has no problem. If I can get him arrested, can I chose to drop the charges at any time? And when I drop the charges will he be released right away if he has a previous record? (2 DUI, drunk in public, misdemeanor for weed, gun charge as a minor)

Once you get arrested him, again he become free after some time on bail. So, imposed some kind of charged which is actually true and make him got arrested red handed. So he did not get bail and prosicution may easilly prove charge made against him.

It depends what you allege and under which section FIR is lodged. If the offences are non bailable and he do not cooperate in investigation he can be arrested. In case u appear in court at the time of bail n say having settled the matter he may be granted bail, however the FIR can be quashed only by High Court.

U may compaliant the dcw of cruelty happening on such account. But if you complaint his drug history it would be difficult for u to take him out after that as it would be state crime and not a family issue I would advise if it effects you so much file a domestic violence case and under such settlement u should take him to rehab
