Can I file a case against abuse by father in childhood?

28-Oct-2023 (In Criminal Law)
My father physically, mentally and verbally abused me as a (girl) child and my mother helped cover it up. It has caused severe mental incapacitation in my adulthood including chronic depression, anxiety and chronic pain, limiting my ability to work and form healthy relationships. Can I pursue a case against my father even if it happened years ago since the effects are felt to this day? Seeking strictly legal advice, not moral.

You may either move to high court under article 226 or supreme court under article 32 to protect your right to life and personal liberty See everything has a limitation if you feel that they have violated your fundamental rights then you can file a writ under article suggested above.

Well, since you are asking a complex legal question, answer of it, can be given on audio or video call or in person, as to answer question or your query which you have asked, I need to understand facts and circumstances of your case first.
