Can I be sued by my college for defamation ?

I study in a college and recently it was under heavy fire for overcharging the students, the college let out a statement denying these accusations, but before their press release, I uploaded a status on my WhatsApp showing support to the student. With my exact wordings "Putting aside the fact that this is illegal, it is absolutely insane how greedy institutions are especially when their motto is about servicing the public." The post mentioned my college clearly as well. But I didn't write it.
