If your ex-girlfriend complain against you with the police for the offences of Blackmailing and Criminal Intimidation, the police will register an FIR and arrest you. Thank heavens that she did not initiate any such action against you till date. So, keep away from her and move on with your life as there is no point in running after her when she doesn't like you. Please don't give the police an opportunity to counsel you as their counselling can be gruelling if your ex-girlfriend's father is well connected.

I understand your agony. Being cheated is the worst feeling in the world anybody can have but you must be out of your mind to have such way of thinking. You sound like an educated person with bright future and good job. Don’t drag yourself into complications. A moment of wrong decision can take your bright future forever from you.

Yes, she can file a police complaint on you and you can really get in to trouble.

Remember you can’t force someone to marry you just because you like them. She doesn’t want to marry you now, so leave her alone. People have right to change their decisions any point of time. That doesn’t mean they cheated you. You can’t use coercion to marry someone. If you really like her go and talk to her family, try to resolve the differences and objections they might have for you. Convince them that you can be a best husband for her. If they still reject you then you have to leave them alone. Again you can’t use unlawful things to force her to marry you. It’s against law. Be wise.
