01-Jul-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Once a criminal case has been filed at a PS and chargesheet submitted, can evidence regarding the same case be submitted in court once proceedings begin? This was not submitted earlier as accused threatened regarding the same

Hi
Any additional evidence can be taken on record only with the permission of court. If you are the accused person, please ask your lawyer to oppose the submission of additional evidence tooth and nail.

you can file a petition to advance the witnesses under section 311 of crpc for producing additional evidence than the evidence mentioned in charge sheet if you are defacto complainant first you have to apply for prosecution assistance and lead the evidence
