Can a FIR complainant settle abroad

15-Jun-2023 (In Criminal Law)
In April 2017, I had filed a criminal case against a person under section 376,377,406, and 420. The accused is out on bail and the hearing has not started yet. Now can I go abroad for a few years for my higher studies? Because of limited financial funds, I may not be able to come back everytime the court asks me to. What is the solution?

You can definitely give a power of attorney to anyone of your close relatives. And get the power of attorney registered.
The same person can appear on behalf of you in front of the court.
You have to make a specific power of attorney where the said person can act on behalf of you.

yes. you can go. you need not come in court on each date. you have to come only once or twice that also when court will issue notice i.e. summons , to you.
in case if are not able to come , say after five year, then you can out proposal for video conference facility to give your testimony.
you go for your study.
