Can a 498a case be filed anywhere.

Dear Sir/Mam, I got married in Feb, 2014 in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana state . My wife left my house within a week of my marriage.Residence of her parents is also Ranga Reddy district of Telangana state. She filed 498a in May, 2015 in WPS of Hyderabad district. And the case now had come to Nampally court which is Hyderabad district. Does 498a doesn't have a jurisdiction? Can it be filed anywhere and investigation can be done by other jurisdiction WPS?
the jurisdiction for the offences under 498A is usually as per section 176 of crpc where the offence occurs but the supreme court have given liberty to the women to lodge at their place of residence. so it will be mostly where you both lastly resided and the offence have occured

if your wife is a resident of Ranga Reddy district court, then she should file it in Women police station (Saroor Nagar) and not at Women police station at CCS.
Looks like a case of wrong jurisdiction.
Double check your wife's residence and under which police station the jurisdiction comes. If your wife's residence comes under Ranga Reddy district, then the case cannot be tried at Nampally courts.
