Boyfriend made false promise for marriage, what action can I take

Can I sue my ex-boyfriend with whom I was in a relationship for 7 years and who promised to marry me but dumped me giving all sorts of vague reasons and false allegations. His behaviour during the end has degraded me mentally and emotionally and has also affected my academic performances. P.S. We both are Hindus. He's a Punjabi and I am a Bengali. We both are 26 year old.

If you were living together in live in relationship as husband wife then you can sue but if you are major and educated and living with yr consent to its difficult to charge against him u/s 376 of IPC but it can be u/s 420 of IPC. U can try for maintenance.
