Bought gold from thief how can I save myself

My brother is a jewels maker. few years back, his friend introduced another one and asked him to sale some ornaments of him for family urgency. He helped him. Now, the police arrested him stating he is thief and lodged complaint 380 IPC against him. police enquired my brother and asked him to give gold as recovery for this case. He didn't accept it. But they forced him. My brother also given 20 savouring to police by believing their words. But now, police called him for enquiry and arrested. Lawyer said NBW has been issued and 5 cases filed us 411. Lawyer told us bail can apply take 45-60 days
It is serious offence to deal with stolen goods and you are liable to be prosecuted , your ignorance of law will not be an excuse. Your brother will be treated as accomplice, as the entire episode unfolds. If you have a strong case as you said, your brother may get bail soon, so i contradict your lawyer bail terms.
