Blackmail to my girlfriend and money extortion

Hi , I have a girl friend who is in trap with a goon who is supposed to be her class mate earlier and now he is blackmailing her like anything and even controlling her day to day activities .. she is so afraid even to discuss ..can I get any legal help as I do not have any support to bring her out of her condition right now
If you give a complaint to police for harassment and stalking that would be sufficient him to trouble you. But, in most cases police are reluctant to file a complaint. If police refuses to register fir then you can give private complaint directly to Magistrate.

Criminal law can be set into motion by any person as such you can lodge a valid complaint either to the concerned police station or with Police Commissioner and see that the said goon is arrested after registering an FIR against him. If police do not support you then you can lodge private complaint also.
