When affected persons have compromised please let the issue rest. Festive occasions have been musutilised.bringing in police to college abuse is a tough handling of the situation . of course ,if you feel that the issue was badly handled you can make a complaint .the codyct comes within mischief, restraint and annoyance that would fall under the sexual harassment or antiragging etc.

you can very well give a complaint to the police outraging the modesty of a woman attracting offence u/s 354 IPC. Police have to register an FIR as and when receipt of the complaint as it a cognizable offence otherwise you can approach the District Superintendent of Police u/s section 154(3) CrPC. The offence is not a sexual assault buy definitely it is outraging the modesty of woman. No principal is legally has the right to work as a mediator in a criminal offences.

Learn what are cognizable and non-cognizable offences and the difference between them with the help of this criminal law guide of India.
