Arrested for consuming alcohol in public place what can I do

Sir, my brother was detained for consuming alcohol outside with one of his friends two days ago.Police charged sec 107/151 and he filed a bond next day before magistrate or ACP. Please tell me that can i file case against police for such action? Did police take right action? Can we cancel the bond? How much time and money will it take if apply higher?
