Are documents investigated when submitted as proof

Iam From Osmanabad Maharashtra. Is there a need for proof to file an FIR under Section 420? And can any police officer investigate the documents before registering an FIR against a Talathi under section 420?

Yes proof is always require to file an FIR in case of 420 and police officer will check and investigate before filing an FIR in such cases and in any case and validity of the complaint as well as documents will always be checked

Dear Client, Before registration of FIR police are suppose to verify the documents and based upon the same they will get fir registered (except crime against person eg rape, murder, etc) Further if police r not ready you can direcrly move before MMCourt with private complaint under sec 156(3) of CrPC. yes, to file an FIR you should be able to file an FIR for offence of any nature of public offence. to file an FIR offence should cognizable offence or non cognizable offence. being a sound person to file an FIR within regional jurisdictional police station an after filing FIR attested copy of first information report can made to informant. personal suggestion : appoint an advocate for any legal matter to avoid any legal consequence.
