An accused took my name in NDPS case

My cab driver was a drug paddler and later caught by police. In the interrogation, he gave my name too, unfortunately. But I do not have any relationship with him in that matter. The IO looked into the case and found no evidence against. He asked me to sign a document and let me go. He said that he will file a report and send to the court. Also, no charge sheet has been filed yet in the case. I have an opportunity in an MNC. Will it appear in the criminal record during criminal verification.

The NDPS Laws are very strict and even the bail isn't easy especially in case of drug peddlers . Since the IO has let you go instead of arresting you,this shouldn't affect your BGV in MNCs. Don't worry about the chargesheet, they will take months to years to file a chargesheet. Yes,Law enforcement is also slow.
