One person provoked me badly commenting about my father so I slapped him but he filed magistrate complaint IPC 323 against me so can I defend myself I have clear sound cctv

You need to hire expert advocate in this regard. The only this you have is an evidence but you don’t know how to put the same. There are multiple technical things and the procedure of CrPC. Therefore, an advocate would be required for the trail. Plzb in touch

You should have also filed a complaint in writing to the police station of your area regarding your grievances and directing the police officials and show them relevant CCTV footage to register a FIR against that person under defamation, harassment, hurt, criminal intimidation.
