Admissibility of evidence in court

In anti corruption case there was two panchnama witness show accused to take envelope of money from complaints but first witness is died before chief examination before court. So what is value of statement he given in charge sheet?. Can it be inadmissible in court?. Please suggests with case law?

Hi,

As per your question the witness has died, but he has given the statement in the concerned police station under section 161, the statement given under section 161 CrPc is not admissible in the court.
