A married man promised to marry me, but is openly dating someone else

28-Nov-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I've been in a relation with this man who was married for last 8 years, he'd promised me to leave his wife and marry me. Currently he's going through divorce with his wife, but he's started dating a girl 10 yrs younger to him behind my back, as I'm not living in the same city anymore, he's told his circle that we separated 3 yrs back and he'll marry this new girl, he's also telling them that I'm obsessed with with and want to marry him but he's just my good friend supporting me. Over this period he's also taken a significant amount of my savings as he said he can't take money from his family. Right now also he says he's committed to me, he doesn't know I have proof of his new relationship, I'd confronted him on this, he said he's not had any other relationship apart from me and sees the future with me.I'm not sure what I can do here to get my legal right as we never made our relationship public as his wife would've taken action against him.

If a man has falsely promised to marry and took physical and sexual advantages from you, the same tantamount to rape. Get a FIR registered against him in your local police station. For any further clarification please feel free to contact

Thanks

If you wish to go legal about the issue and against him then you have got multiple options. You can send him a legal notice regarding the money you have spent on him. And if there was a physical relationship then you can always file a complaint under section 156(3) before the MM. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Well, the Solution depends on what your goal is. if such relationship was established in the pretext of marriage, then a complaint of rape in pretext of marriage will be one of the solution. If your goal is to seek damages then a civil suit for recovery of the money you had invested in him can be filed. There are anciallary solutions as well, which depends on the exact solution you want.
