A family member attempted to kill me, what precaution should I take

I am 29 male unmarried, one of my family member tried to kill me 10 days back.I didn't file any complain as he is my relative.But concerning my safety at home, can I take a wriiiten apology from him and ask him to submit the copy to local police station so that he never repeat it again

You should file either any written information in nearest police station or in your relevent court to the safety in favour of you.dnt leave those type of person and immedetly take any aforsaid action and try to send him in jail without any delay accordhng to the crpc/ipc.

You should give an information petition to the local lower court so that it can be protected and will be maintained a report. He is your relative still you should need to inform this in the court of law and you can also take apology letter plus your health and you yourself is very important.
