In your case, I presume that - 1. you are alone managing the drama company and other artists are paid honorarium by you. 2. the other artists have no stake in the profits or losses of the company.
In such case, i think, getting a shop act license from the state authorities in the name of Natya Sanstha with your name as proprietor of it, would suffice your purpose. Then, you can open account in the name of the Sanstha and get cheques in its name. Pls. also get confirmation from your bank.

You have not clarified the entity you wish to incorporate i.e whether it is proprietory, partnership, LL P, Pvt Ltd or Public Limited or Co-op Society. It is therefore not possible to answer your question. However if you want to register partnership firm the authority is Registrar of Firms, For Companies, LLP, it is ROC i.e registrar of companies, for co-op societies it is registrar / sub registrar of Co-op Societies.
