I'm jaffer, I'm foreigner... I'm try to start a business in india but I have a research visa for doing ph.d ... so is it allowed to me to establish a company here by my name and if it's not....is it possible to share it with Indian citizen (half-half) to establish this company.
Under the Immigration laws of India, a foreign national can commence a business venture in India when they possess a business visa.
Once a business visa has been obtained, keeping in mind that you are a foreign national to comply with Indian Corporate Laws you will be required to establish an Indian Company with an Indian citizen.
