Company cheating investors by selling franchise with poor business.
23-Jun-2023 (In Corporate Law)
There is a company which is blatantly cheating investors. It gives out its franchise to investors by making false promises. This company has made crores of rupees by cheating/misleading investors. The affected persons, including me, have filed police complaints against this company.
The investigation and the court case etc might take many years. Meanwhile, the company is busy selling out its unviable franchise and later it harasses the investors.
How to restrain the company from cheating investors by selling its franchise?
How to make the court restrain the company from selling franchise and investigate the fraud business.
In my view, this is a matter of public interest. How to go about it?
Query perused. I would advise you to follow up on your police complaint and press for registration of FIR. In case the concerned SHO doesn't register the FIR, you may contact the DCP concerned. Even after that FIR didn't get registered I would advise you to file an application under section 156(3) of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking directions from Honble Court to register the FIR under section 420 r/w 406 IPC.
