Can disciplinary action be taken for fighting outside the office

Fight outside office premises with a tea stall owner... can this lead to disciplinary action in office?
It all depends upon the service rules applicable for you.There is a concept of in course of and out of employment.If the stated incident occurred during your duty hours and you left the work premises with/without the permission of your controlling authority, the stated fact shall be treated as misconduct on your part.Moreover, beyond your duty hours if the stated fact occurred on your part and you are in police custody for more than 48 hrs, you can be placed under suspension by your employer .
