what are legal formalities to create a educational website ?

I want to make a Education website where I'll put all courses details with Institute and colleges details. I'll also put all courses e-book on website. Is there any illegal point in making this website related to copyright issue. Should I take permission from colleges, that I am putting their college details on my website ? Can I put courses book in text format on website which is written by other author ? Please let me know if there is any illegal point which I should avoid. Thanks

It is preferable to have the consent of the colleges before putting their name on your portal / website. In so far as uploading / providing the text of the books by other authors on your website is concerned, the same is not permissible unless explicit copyright permission is obtain from the respective authors.
