Does commentary and criticism on youtube come under fair dealing in in

I run a youtube channel where i criticize other youtube channels and sometimes for context, i have to show their clips for a few seconds. Please advice

Yes, criticism and commentary comes under fair use.
However, YouTube internal policies might send you a copyright notice from time to time.

There are a few principles which need to be understood in this context. When it comes to criticisms, or generally commenting on another persons's youtube channel, what you're essentially doing is 'transformative' in nature and does not expressly violate copyright law. It comes under 'Fair Use'.

What you have to ensure is that, the context in which you are criticising is-the content of the channel and not the creator of the content, because that would not be copyright violation, but could attract other proceedings under defamation.
