Dear Concerned, If a particular channel has purchased an exclusive right to telecast a particular event, then you have to obtain a permission from the said channel before forwarding its telecast on your website. In case, the event is open source, you can make the link available by giving a disclaimer that the said source is of the given channel. In any case, it is preferable to notify the given channel about your using their telecast.

NO ALTHOUGH,STAR’s right to exclusively provide ball by ball commentary, alerts and score cards haven’t yet been established yet, and their case against Idea Cellular, Onmobile and Cricbuzz, is still in the Supreme Court of India. In October last year, STAR had gotten an interim injunction against Idea, Onmobile and Cricbuzz.
