Unmarried couples denied admission by a hotel

a 3 star hotel told that they will allow unmarried couples into their hotel if proper identity cards are provided, i have done my booking. when i reached the hotel with my partner with proper id proofs, they objected and did not allow us.i asked for refund and they did not return the money. what action can i take against management

There is no law that states that unmarried couples are denied of admission in a hotel but hotel management’s reserves a right to admission. In case where they agreed for admission of unmarried couple with acceptance of booking amount and denied admission and not returning booking amount then you can approach consumer court and claim for compensation from hotel.
