How to file case against a coaching centre for fraud

03-May-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Sir I had purchased maths video lectures for IIT in November 17. At the time of purchasing seller made false promises said that the lecture has total duration of more than 200 hour and no. of videos is around 600, but when I viewed the lecture thenbit had total duration of only 150 hour and around 4 chapter are missing from it. When I mailed them about missing chapters then they said that they will send downloadable links but they have not done it. I feel cheated. Can I complaint in consumer court. I had bank payment slip, but I do not have call recording in which he had made false promises. Thank you

Yes you can file a complaint case angainst coaching institute in the district consumer forum. You can file complaint case in the same district where you reside currently.

There is no need of call recording if they have agreed to send you the missing chapters link over email. Admitting to a fact is the best evidence.

Go ahead best of luck.

Kindly tell us about the full payment that you have made to them so that we can decide that what will be the jurisdiction and other things... Firstly in these types of matters we have to send them the legal notice and if they don't respond to the same...you can take recourse of consumer forum or can Lodge a complain of cheating.

yes you have a right as a consumer to approach the consumer court, you can start by sending them a legal notice, it would be better if you take a legal consult before that so that you can have proper guidance on how to avail proper legal remedy.

Yes a consumer complaint can be filed on the basis of deficiencies of services and unfair and restrictive trade practices, since the service provider has already admitted through e mail that he is going to send the module.

Yes you can file a consumer complaint but before that you should serve a legal notice. A well drafted legal notice itself can help you get back your money. In case they do not reply to the notice or refund your money then you can file a consumer complaint befor ethe consumer forum for deficiency in service. Let me know if you require a detailed legal notice.
