If a person has changed name, the name of the case will remain the same. Many people don't have their proper names in the case. If you want then you can give your new name when you need to supply new documents. But the name of the case will remain the same. The person searching with new name will find it difficult to get the case but he can use some other things to find the case.

The trial of the case is not affected if the name is changed. Ideally, the person should inform the Court about the same and get the cause title suitably amended for the purpose of the final Judgment to be in new name.

If the concerned Court maintains a digital record of the cases, the Registry should amend the cause title as well for the purpose of online usage.

If the name is changed after the case is decided, this will not affect the case at all as the case is not longer sub-judice and the party will have to search for the case with the old name only.
