What to do if someone committed forgery

24-May-2023 (In Civil Law)
My grand parents placed a fixed deposit in my name. After their death one of my relative opened bank account in my name using my aadhar card Xerox as Id proof and he made my signature ( forgery) in 2014 . Then he deposited the fixed deposit maturity cheque RS 3,57,000/-and withdrew 2,57,000 through ATM ( daily 40,000/-) and 1,00,000/- through cheque.recently I came to about this fraud as bank sent me a letter ( to the permanant address in aadhar card) instructing to maintain minimum balance. I found that relative who did this as he placed his wife's phone number and his email id and his then rented house address as contact details for the bank account. Now can I recover my amount? Can I get interest for that amt from 2014 ? Can I get any compensation in addition? Can I sent him to prison ? How can I proceed? Please give me some legal advice regarding this.

Hello sir, You can recover your amount within 3 years from the date of your knowledge about the facts along with interest by filing suit for recovery and you can also file report before the Police U/sec. 420 and 467 of Indian Penal Code.
