What is the procedure followed by police for calling a person

Hi I would like to seek advice from u people.i was a managing director for a company which had been closed 4 years back.one of our suppliers had approached the police now and filed a complaint saying that our company need to pay some amount along with interest.i recieved a call from the police station regarding this. 1.my doubt is can civil matters be handled by police or it need to be done through court. 2.What is the procedure for calling a person to the police station? 3.do they need to send any kind of notice or summons?or I need to attend even if i recieve a phone call.

if any breach of trust case is registered you need to be served with notice under section 41A crpc causing your appearance by stating the reasons and without any notice no one can call you to police station

This is suggestion only this purely civil nature the supplier lost his right he was not filed civil suit with in period of 3 year from the date of supply articles to the MD on his influences he lodged the complaint before the police not maintainable.
