What can I do if my girlfriend is forcing me to marry her

Hi Team, I am enquiring to know about Individual protection rights in below case. One of my friend was dating a gal. Initially, he was serious. But later he got to know that the gal was lying and he broke with her. However, the gal is not agreeing and forcing him to marry her. She has threatened my friend that she would file a case against him. She is also meeting the guy's family members. Please do let us know how he can safe guard his rights or protect himself. Thanks
