What action can be taken for misplacing a FIR

The day before yesterday i wrote an FIR and Submitted in my nearest police station For Mobile Phone Snatching case but the next day when i went to the police station for my copy they lost/misplaced my FIR. (Very Unusual behaviour of police.) i want to know what action can be taken for misplacing my FIR or What are the laws available.

What you had given to the police was not a FIR it was an complaint which was later to be converted to be FIR. Secondly you can again write a complaint and hand it over to the police and take the DD number from them till FIR is registered.
