Wants To Settle Challans In Evening Court, Unable To Book Appointment
Wants To Settle Challans In Evening Court, Unable To Book Appointment
26-Mar-2026 (In Civil Law)
Please share the entire Procedure and Charges to dispose Traffic Challans in Evening Court of Delhi. I did try to book online appointment for the same but it's not allowing me to select any date and time. I would also like to know the Persentage/ratio of Challan Disposing in Evening Court. In Lok Adalat it's approx 1/10th of the Challan then what's the ratio of it in Evening Court (Challan 1000rs). Please share can Commercial Vehicle Challans be disposed too in Evening Courts (More than 1 challan) and above 10,000rs. That's all. Kindly do the needful on this. Thanks. [Anyone from Rohini Court, Delhi please contact me for this]
do not worry about the queries..your challan can be deposited easily and for that appointment can also be booked..even if the challan exceeds 10000/- it does not matter.
just that we are required to file it during the lok Adalat..
You need to carry:
Copy of challan (physical or e-challan)
Driving Licence
RC of vehicle. Yes, multiple challans can be disposed of together, subject to court’s discretion.
High-value challans can also be taken up, but serious offences may not be compounded summarily and could require regular court proceedings.
you can contact me for minimum fees and I do this work .
In Delhi, traffic challans can be disposed of in Evening Courts (Traffic Courts), but the process is slightly different from Lok Adalat and does not follow a fixed percentage-based reduction.
The procedure is as follows:
You need to first check whether your challan is pending before a traffic court (not already paid or sent to Lok Adalat). Evening Courts generally handle compoundable traffic offences.
Booking is usually done through the Delhi Traffic Police / Virtual Court portal, but sometimes slots are not available due to heavy load or limited sittings. In such cases, you can:
Wait for fresh slots to open, or
Visit the concerned traffic court complex physically (like Rohini, Tis Hazari, etc.) and inquire about walk-in or token-based disposal (availability varies)
In Evening Court:
You appear before the Magistrate
You may plead guilty
The court may impose a reduced or reasonable fine, but this is discretionary, not fixed like Lok Adalat
Regarding your specific queries:
There is no fixed ratio (like 1/10th) in Evening Courts. Reduction depends on:
Nature of offence
Number of challans
Court’s discretion
Commercial vehicle challans:
Yes, they can be taken up, but serious offences or high-value challans may not always be compounded easily
Multiple challans can be dealt with together, subject to court’s permission
For challans above ₹10,000:
These are usually serious violations, and full waiver or heavy reduction is unlikely
Court may still grant some relief, but not comparable to Lok Adalat settlements
If online appointment is not working, it simply means:
Slots are full, or
That particular challan is not currently listed for that mode of disposal
In summary, Evening Court is a discretion-based relief mechanism, not a fixed-discount forum like Lok Adalat. You may try both online booking and physical inquiry at the concerned court for quicker disposal.
hello sir it totally depends on the judge how much they mentioned the amount for disposal of your challan but approx if your challan is 1000 rupees then it must be paid up to 3_4 hundred not more than that sir if you want to disposable your challan feel free to contact me through lawyer rawto.

(Delhi high court)
Challan of vehicle through lok adalat can be made through online booking of token and can be cleared through courts.
There is no fixed percentage of relief of challan in the lok adalat thus the relief on 10,000 may vary with court to court and the type pf violation of the traffic rules.
