To correct your X class certificate, you'll need to follow a specific process. Since you're a government employee, you'll likely need to adhere to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) rules. *Options:* - *Executing a Deed:* You can execute a deed to change your name, which involves creating a notarized affidavit, publishing a newspaper advertisement, and obtaining a Gazette notification. This process is typically used for name changes. - *Civil Suit:* Filing a civil suit in court is another option, but it's usually a more lengthy and costly process. *Recommended Approach:* 1. *Start with a Notarized Affidavit:* Create a notarized affidavit explaining the discrepancy in your name and stating that both names (MD SHAFI and Mohammed Shafi) refer to the same person. 2. *Publish a Newspaper Advertisement:* Publish a newspaper advertisement announcing the name correction. 3. *Obtain a Gazette Notification:* Apply for a Gazette notification to officially record the name correction. 4. *Approach the Issuing Authority:* Submit the affidavit, newspaper advertisement, and Gazette notification to the authority that issued your X class certificate (likely the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board). *Court Jurisdiction:* You can approach the court in Bangalore, as it's your current place of residence and work. However, since your birth certificate is from Hyderabad, you may also consider consulting a lawyer in Hyderabad to ensure compliance with local regulations. *Birth Certificate:* To obtain a birth certificate, you'll need to contact the Municipal Corporation or the Registrar of Births and Deaths in Hyderabad, providing the necessary documents, including your corrected X class certificate. *DoPT Rules:* As a government employee, you'll need to follow the DoPT rules for name changes. You may want to consult with your department's HR or administration team to understand the specific requirements. *Consult a Lawyer:* It's recommended to consult a lawyer specializing in name changes and government procedures to guide you through the process and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
