Suit For Partition Co-owner...

In 2005 ,my mom and another guys jointly brought the building but my mother only paid full consideration .aftr buy my one only throughout building controll and possession and paid building tax upto date and given rent to tenant . Now another one guy asking half share they went court and file the case for suit for partition .my question is my mom only had possession suit maintainable for partition?
Partition is different. If a person is co-owner then that person can claim for partition. I need more information to guide you on this. Why did your mother add his name in the property when she paid all money...
