Society claiming for interest on maintenance what can I do

My society maintenance was rs 4500 due in 2002 and after that they have charged interest continuously on that principal amt. At 21%.now it is almost 93000.now they are telling me to pay that amount.I am telling them I have payed maintenance after that every month since 2002..I am telling them to settle the amount 93000 to 45000 ...as it is only interest which is too high...tell if I am wrong and if the matter is gone to court will court pass the verdict in my favour..

You are from which state? society have their own bye law which govern all the procedure aspect of society day today activity. Why you had not paid the maintenance? do you have any specific reason? If want to settle matter amicably revert back for further legal course for you problem.
