RTI info regarding Encroachers in a survey no

An RTI request to list out the details of Encroachers in a particular SY.No that has all govt land and no private property got the responses from PIO and FAA that it is against the privacy of the of the people(the Encroachers) to give out their names to others. Is it a valid defense if not how can we proceed on this matter?

hi if the authority is denying you the information first need to see the reasons for refusal to give details then you could file writ petition in high court to direct the concerned officials to give the information required
