Rights on common pathway and ownership rules

27-Jan-2023 (In Civil Law)
The pathway to my house was shared by our neighbour and my family. Both of us purchased the plots from same owner. When we purchased our plot we got the right to use the pathway .The ownership was with the owner. After a few years he sold the last plot along with the pathway to my neighbour. Recently the neighbour sold the plot to us and the full right of the pathway and after a few months the pathway to another person near our plot who already has access to main road, claiming that he( my neighbour) is paying tax for the pathway. Does he has the right to sell the pathway?

your present issue is being adapted by so many real estate persons with an intention to get more money even though the common pathway they provide to the plots while plotting out entire properties with an intention to sell and thereby make profits out of that. anyhow, only after gone through the earlier deeds, a correct and precise opinion regarding your issue could be sorted out
