Release of My Diploma Documents


13-Jan-2026 (In Civil Law)
______ Institute of Technology is withholding my original 3rd-6th Sem marks cards and PDC due to ₹48k fee dues. I am a 2021 graduate and need these for job verification. They refused even a photo/Xerox of the documents. Under Karnataka High Court rulings, certificates cannot be held as a lien for fees. I need a legal notice sent to demand the immediate release of my documents as this is blocking my livelihood. Please advise on recovery."

its illegal for an educational institution in India, including those in Karnataka, to withhold a student's original academic documents, even over unpaid fees. Multiple High Court rulings and guidelines from bodies like the UGC and AICTE have established that certificates are a student's personal property and cannot be retained as a lien for any monetary claim.

hello as you told in your query that instutu not giving your acadamic document as you requirement if you come along with your coated judgement will send the legal notice to the concernd person headed by the call me if needs mr. pampapati
