Received notice for recovery of money

One of my known person gave me one lakh through online transaction as I have benefitted him. After a year he send me leagal notice that he gave it as a debt and I has to repay within 15 days of receipt of notice along with 12% interest. He is mentioning in the notice that he has asked several times to repay but I have said that I will repay now and then but not repaying. I have received my first notice. What to do?

Well, in that case, you can send him a Counter-Notice denying all the allegations he has made against you in his notice & as such, mention in that notice that you will lodge a FIR in Police against him for mentally harrasing you.

firstly reply to the notice..
thereafter tell as to why your known person gave money to you..explain all your defences in the reply to the notice and give a detailed parawise reply so that the drawer of the notice gets a detailed reply to all his contentions.

1. You will have to disclose all details of your transaction;
2. You will have to show records and collect evidence that it was not for loan purposes;
